The Blizzard Junior A Hockey Club is excited to announce that the MJHL has approved the sale of the team to Rob & Bonnie White, of The Pas, Manitoba. Rob was extremely instrumental to the success of the team this past season, as President of the Board, as they navigated new staff and management, a new arena, and overseeing the move from the GLMC to the RHJA.
Leveraging decades of hockey experience and profound business skills, we look with great optimism to our Club’s future, continuing to be the Pride of the North.
We respectfully thank all those involved in the past years of this team, the original founders from Opaskwayak, The Pas & area who had the foresight to know just how integral this Junior A Club is to our communities, and the entire region.
Aside from all our amazing fans, and wonderful sponsors, we’d also like to thank the current ownership of Mr. Usman Tahir and Mr. Salman Safdar, who stepped in when the team was at risk of leaving our communities. Thank you for working with us now, during this transition period.
We have many exciting announcements in the coming weeks, and are looking to build off the success we had last season, on and off the ice. The Blizzard will continue our brand of fast, skilled & tough Northern Manitoban hockey.
