Blizzard will not be extending contract with Billy Keane.
Keane joined Blizzard during the 2020/2021 season which was then cut short in October of 2020 due to Covid-19. The resumption of the 2020/2021 season never happened. Fast forward to 2021/2022 the Blizzard season kicked off with the team playing out of the Roy H Johnston arena.
The Blizzard concluded their season on March 5th, coming into the final stretch of the season and needing to win 5 consecutive games in a row for a potential play off spot. The team winning 3 games in a row made for an optimistic team, but ended up falling short.
The Blizzard ended there season with a 18-29-3-4 record, falling short of playoff contention. The Blizzard organization would like to thank Billy for his time with the team and wish him the best in his future endeavors. Blizzard graduating 20 year old’s included:
